The Experience

When you send me an email or fill out the contact form, I will read it thoroughly and reply as soon as possible. We’ll talk about your vision for your photos, and I will answer any questions you have about any part of the process.

You will select a date and time, we’ll take care of the official paperwork, and you’ll pay a deposit to secure your session. All of this will be taken care of through a simple online booking system. We will also work together to choose a location that is perfect for your session.

Next, I’ll send you a link with more information about my process and workflow as well as some tips on preparing for your session and choosing outfits for the whole family.

A week or two before our session, I will ask you to fill out a questionnaire about yourself, your family, and your vision for the photo session. This is a chance for you to introduce yourselves more thoroughly, and share if there are any details or specific images you want to capture.

I’ll come to your home or we’ll meet at our location, and you’ll spend some time just loving on and playing with your family. Cuddle, hold hands, kiss them, play games, dance, read books, lay in the grass and look at clouds - whatever feels authentic and cozy to you is what I want to be taking pictures of. I will give you prompts and gentle guidance as needed.

Editing may take up to a few weeks, depending on how many other sessions I have in my queue - I’ll give you a personalized estimate at the end of our session. It’s important to me that you get the best photos I can possibly deliver, so I don’t rush my editing process. You can expect a few “sneak peeks” within a couple days!

All of the best photos from your session will be uploaded to a private gallery, and I’ll send you the link! You’ll be able to download all of the high-resolution files for sharing and printing (and you can even order prints directly from the gallery).

We’re done! We did it! Hooray!

Literally every single parent worries that their children won’t behave during a session. I know it’s easier said than done, but please, try to let go of the impulse to control their behavior during the session. They don’t need to look at the camera or participate in every pose, and the more you try to direct them, the less they’ll want to listen to anyone.

So hand over the reins - I will make sure I get what I need for beautiful photos. Your ONLY job for this time is to cuddle, love on, and play with your family.
