ABOUT LAUREL
Hi, I’m Laurel, a newborn and family photographer based in Portland, Oregon.
First off - I just want to thank you for being here and for considering me as your photographer. It’s such an honor to bear witness to these precious moments in your life and I can’t wait to meet you and your family.
My style in life, work, and art is genuine, playful, and down-to-earth. Nature is my place - the Pacific Ocean and old-growth forests and rocky riverbeds of the Pacific Northwest fill up my soul and make me feel alive. I spend as much time as possible out in that lush wilderness with my husband, our baby, and our pup.

I am a new mother, but have been a professional nanny for almost a decade and have worked with tons of families and kiddos of all ages. Nannying has helped me develop a confidence and ease in connecting with parents, children, and babies, which plays a huge role in how I approach photo sessions.
Which brings us back to photos: I love to create images that are intimate, personal, and playful. I love capturing details and emotion - all while embracing the chaos and mess that is real life.
I hope to hold space for the real, raw, and deeply personal in a world of filters and “good vibes only”.
